Joy to the World Namibia expands access to high-quality education for children in Onekwaya-West, a rural community in northern Namibia. We provide a safe, nurturing learning environment where students can discover their potential, build confidence, and pursue opportunities that transform their futures. The school offers rigorous academics, character development, and a strong foundation in English literacy—equipping learners with the skills they need to thrive in secondary school and beyond.
Through scholarships, classroom resources, nutrition support, and ongoing investment in teachers and facilities, we work to break cycles of poverty and create pathways to lifelong success. Our mission is to empower every child with the education, care, and dignity they deserve.
Facing an absence of early childhood education, Anglican nun Sister Gertrude made it her mission to start a kindergarten in rural village of Onekwaya West. She met an American, Alison Royle, who helped her expand the school to a primary boarding school for learners who come from near and far. Today we are proud to serve more than 300 K-7 students.
